We went camping in the Beaver Mountians with Lena's family and their friends. We had a great time. We saw a lot of deer, tried fishing, went on a 4-Wheeler ride and tried geocacheing for the first time.

Rocky and Rambo loved the birds and the squirrels. Rambo was so good we didn't have to keep him on a leash. Rocky, on the other hand, had to always be tied up. The hunter in him kept him after every animal out there.

So, a bear and a moose walk into a bar . . .

We just celebrate our 3 year anniversary! I (Paul) took a week off of work and Lena was home this week so we ran off to Park City. We stayed at the Stein Eriksen Lodge, one of the most luxurious places I have ever been. We had everything from our own private hot tub on our balcony to turn down service at night--complete with little chocolates on our pillows. We loved taking a dip in the pool and relaxing in a beautiful alpine setting (I feel like I'm the commercial).

We just love Park City. There are so many wonderful things to do. 1st thing, there is great shopping here. This is one of Lena's favorite boutiques, Mary Jane's.

We love making new friends. This is Franz, a popular local who loves long walks on the beach, old movies and butterflies:

Lena made friends with Eunis. She's a stylish moose, actually related to Bullwinkle through her Step-Fathers 2nd Cousin. She works as a personal assistant to the stars during the film festivals and a bouncer at a local club in the off season. She's got some great stories to tell.

And here is a great view of Deer Valley Ski Resort from our room. It's beautiful any time of year.

Idol hands are the devil's workshop

Lena and I went to the American Idol Tour last week. We had a great time. We sat on the 2nd row from the stage so we were so close to the singers!

Snow Day

Holy Cow!!! We got so much snow today they canceled Church. That's the first time I remember that happening. Here's some pictures of us having fun.
We got dumped on. 18" with drifts up to 3 1/2 feet!!! We spent most of the day digging ourselves out of the snow.

Rocky loved the snow. He would burrow down and then jump out. He was having such a good time. After we brought him in he wanted to go back out.

Rocky has always thought he was bigger than he is. Here he is trying to be a St. Bernard as he saves Lena from an avalanche.

Preparing for a feast

With the new house Lena and I thought it would be a great idea to have Thanksgiving dinner at our new house. Yesterday we picked up most of the groceries.

I've never bought this much food at one time before. We had to put the back seats down in our SUV to fit all the food back there.

Appetizers...
We've got an assortment of dips for crackers, chips and veggies. True to the Italian side of the family, we've got a prosciutto and cheese plate.

Lena is making a yummy salad with candied wall nuts, craisins an a raspberry vinaigrette dressing.

Main dish...
Mashed potatoes with turkey gravy, I'm making a sweet potato dish in the slow cooker, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce (homemade), and of course a turkey (we've got a full house so we bought a 24lb bird).

We're really excited to have both sides of the family together. Lena's parents and sister are coming up from Las Vegas. My parents, 3 of my brothers and both sides of my grandparents are coming as well. That makes 14 people and two Russell Terriers.
